Apps are moving to developer hubs

Description

When logging in to your Autodesk account you see the message

Apps are moving to developer hubs

New APS Business model and pricing updates are here. APS is transitioning to developer hubs for app management. Move your apps to a hub by Jan 16 to maintain service.

Cause

This is shown because Autodesk changes how the APS apps are managed. Instead of being located directly within an APS account the apps will be located within a developer hub.

Developer hubs are centralized workspaces in APS for managing your team's API access, applications, and usage. They provide better visibility and enable easier collaboration.

  • Each developer hub connects to one team.
You cannot change this connection later.
  • APS subscription is required to create or join a hub.

Solution

You can find instructions how to create a developer hub and migrate your apps on this Autodesk blog

When it comes to adding a subscription to your shopping cart you can select the free tier. This is sufficient for most purposes.
